Q: Is there a specific caterer that I have to use?

A: No, at this time, the Lafayette Theater allows you to use the caterer of your choice. Please note, however, that there are no kitchen facilities at the theater, so all food must be prepared offsite.

Q: Do you provide bar service?

A: Yes, the Lafayette Theater has a three-way liquor license and all alcohol service must be arranged for through our in-house bar service.

Q: I see that you only have 73 chairs and 13 tables. What if our group is larger and we need additional seating?

A: The theater has 150 chairs to accomodate your guests.  We have 19 tables that seat 8 at a table, and 2 tables that seat 6 at a table. And you are more than welcome to rent more tables and chairs at your convenience.  We can comfortabley seat 300 guests on the main floor.

Q: How much does the bar service cost?

A: There is a $250 bar setup charge with all bar orders. This covers the cost of bartenders, liability insurance and bar overhead costs for the event. Paying this setup charge will open up a full cash bar. If any portion of the bar is to be “hosted”, pricing will vary depending on the specific order.
Q: How early should I reserve the date of my event? How much advance notice is needed?

A: If you know about your event, then it’s not too early to book it! The sooner you contact us, the sooner we can confirm the availability of your date and begin the leasing process.

Q: Do you play movies at the theater?

A: Check out our “Events” pages for our current film schedule.
Q: Are linens included in the rental?

A: No, linens are not included in the standard rental. We can refer you to a rental company or for an additional charge include linens in the rental. Please contact the manager for details.
Q: Is it possible to show a movie at my event? Can I use your equipment?

A: You can absolutely show a movie. The facility’s “big screen” is perfect for showing movie/pictures of a bride and groom at a wedding reception or for presentations in a conference or meeting setting. However, at this time we do not have equipment that is available as part of the standard rental. Please contact the manager for details and suggestions.
